ABOUT PTA

Our local parent teacher association is connected to the Wisconsin PTA and larger National PTA.

The National PTA mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

We carry out this mission while staying connected to the core values of collaboration, commitment, diversity, respect, and accountability.

COLLABORATION

We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

On the local level, the Osceola PTA partners with our schools to increase parent involvement and enhance and expand the educational opportunity of all children in our community. We work to improve the health, welfare and safety of all community members and to engage the community in the work of our schools. We aim to provide programs to help families overcome barriers of language, culture and poverty so that their children can succeed in school and grow to be productive adults.

As we move forward into the 2017-2018, we reflect on the current Wisconsin PTA main advocacy areas of:

School funding
Parent Involvement
Closing the Achievement Gap

Additionally, we hope to make our mark by addressing unique opportunities such as:

Enhanced and efficient communication
Transitions between schools and grades
Creating and coordinating programs and activities for student and their families
